On December 5th and 6th of 2025, the newly established Center for Intellectual Freedom (CIF) at the University of Iowa launched their programming with a two-day inaugural event. The event was hosted at the Old Capitol Museum in Iowa City with notable guest speakers such as Christopher Rufo, Governor Kim Reynolds and various members of Iowa state legislature and the Iowa Board of Regents. The event was designed to encapsulate the reasoning behind the CIF's existence and the aspirations for the Center's future.
